I rarely post about events, but this engagement party at Hippie Fish in Zandvoort simply deserves it.
When Erika contacted me to talk about the party, it was clear right away that we were a good match: not only because I simply love capturing happy memories but because she firmly told me how she didn’t want stiff posed photos, but that I should be there to photograph the event as it unfolds, she even used the word documentary!
My. Jam.
But once I was there I found something that amazed and completely overwhelmed me: I was being hired to photograph one of the happiest, in-love couples I ever met. The kind of people I can’t stop talking about for days because meeting them just makes me happy.
This engagement party was about celebrating true love. It included laughs, hugs, and so many kisses. The coolest friends, great food, amazing drinks, one of the best bartenders in the world was there, the beach was stunning, and the music was latino-level great.
I won’t ever have enough words to explain how happy my job makes me. I’m forever thankful for these moments, and I wish all the happy couples in the world can celebrate their love the way these two did.
